Chanson inspirée par l'Histoire. Les esclaves du Sud des Etats-Unis utilisaient des phrases codées lorsqu'ils voulaient se retrouver loin des yeux de leurs "maîtres" ou pour s'échapper. "Go to the River" était l'une de ses phrases, signifiant la liberté, le courant de la rivière étant libre de se déplacer (lui).
Song inspired by History. The slaves form the South of USA used to have a code when they wanted to meet away from their masters eyes or when they wanted to flee away. "Go to the River" was one of these sentences, meaning the freedom, the river stream being free to go wherever it wants.
